Climate changes

Kia ora people and today for our last week of school our task was to write a poster or document about climate changes. Did you know that climate can affect people? Well climate only happened to be in centuries ago with lots of experienced. Have you wondered what has caused the climate changes? As you can see climate changes can not only affect people but the planet earth.

Have you ever noticed that a greenhouse is actually trapping the atmosphere inside which why is causing the climate changes. Since then climate changes has never ever been discovered because plants are now grown these days. So if you want climate changes to never happen well the best way is to clean the environment, plant new trees and flowers so we people can feel safe around this world. Plants can't only have fashion but also  breathe in carbon dioxide so us people can breathe fresh air.

Patterns

Malo lelei students, visitors and teachers today for our last week of school our task was to figure out patterns of numbers. What is a pattern? Well patterns are objects, images and numbers that are repeated every time. Patterns can be known in different ways in mathematics. Patterns do not always repeat the same number for example 1, 2, 4, 7, 11, ?. To figure out this pattern we first find the operation which is one, because we plus one with every number to 2, 4, 7 and 11 that makes the the last answer 16.

Have you wondered what are the rule of patterns? Well I learnt that finding the operation doesn't just mean by a number it's self it means that you have to figure out if it's  adding, subtracting, multiplying or division or else the answer will be wrong.

Thank you for reading my blog.

Speeches

Malo lelei students and teachers today in our online classes we were given speeches to wrote about rules we can make. Because this opportunity was given to us we thought about why we should change the way of people and rules. Doing this can help people realise what should they do. My opinion or topic was about saving animals and the environment. The reason why I choose this topic is because I want people to realise how important it was to save our planet and animals. Did you know that animals are living things that have experienced how they lost their family? Well it's because some people doesn't care if they litter and probably they haven't noticed why or what will happen. Well the fact is that doing this is the only way to save the animals and  just to let you know that not only animals will die but us people because  throwing away plastic or glass can make injuries and accidents.

Feel free to comment down below why should we change the rules and people?

Solving subtraction and addition decimals equation.

Kia ora fellow students and teachers in our online classes our task is to finish subtracting and adding decimals together. As you can see this document below has information on how to subtract and add decimals. For example, to solve 3.4 + 16.7 = we make sure that the decimals are a lined and to make the perfect answer we use columns which is units/ones, tenths, hundredths and thousandths. We use these columns to solve decimals fractions and other equations which makes it even more easier. So to solve the equation the answer is  ¹3.4 +¹16.7 = 20.1.

Walt - Add and subtract fractions.

So make sure to comment down below on what you learnt?

The Poem

Kia ora everyone today in our learning was about figurative language. Figurative language has a part that includes about metaphors, simile, personification, alliteration, hyperbole, Stanza, Mood, Imagery and limericks. But figurative language means not taking things literally for example I wish you luck it means break a leg but not seriously. If your wondering what metaphor, simile, personification and alliteration means well metaphor means describes one thing as if it were something else and to make sure it doesn't includes like or as because that will be called simile. And personification means giving human qualities to something that is not human for example the cars growled in traffic. The last one is called alliteration and it means a term used when a series of words begin with the same consonant sound for example she sells seashells on  by the sea-shore.

Feel free to comment down below on what you learnt.

You are probably wondering girls doesn't need self defencing or why do girls need it?  Well all girls need self defence protection when there are danger, robbery and drunk strangers approaching you that's the time to use self defence skills. Using theses skills can protect yourself or others. Us girls were practicing for about two days and our coach was Audrey. Audrey was a great coach and had a whole rule of skills in a book. The Author of Selina Tusitala.

LI: Make inferences to understand the deeper meaning behind a text.

In our learning for reading we learnt lots of information about the famous Selina Tusitala Marsh. Dr Selina Tusitala Marsh is an Auckland- based Pacific poet and scholar of samoan, Tuvaluan, English, Scottish and French. Her first collection of poems was Fast talking PI which stand's for Pacific Island. Jessie Mackay best first book award for Poetry. Selina talked about PI and what she loves doing there for example I love the lord PI which is actually talking about herself and what she did in the Pacific Island. She started off like she did hip hop song. In our class we got inspired of how she fast talk about PI people.

Our next activity was to create a word art about who I am. For example I'm half samoan and tongan and a teacher, it express what you are. My word art starts with my name and what i love doing in sports or anything else. Did you know that your family tree can't just be two part's it could be more and more generations of your grand grandma or grandpa which lets know that your family tree grows bigger and bigger. According to Selina Tusitala book a afakasi has half blood, mixed with two parts. But even though he's eye is brown and the other one is blue no one is ever just two. An afakasi is a chameleon blending in, coloured be genealogy and its differences. This word art is about myself and what I love doing. Have you ever express yourself by writing it down or telling others?

All about me.

Talofa Lava my name is Deanne I'm half Tongan and Samoan. I love traveling, playing netball and tennis, making new friends, playing rugby and games. I have 6 siblings including myself and my friends are Caroline, Lose, Angel, Hevaha and Maftha. My teacher is Ms Tuakoi and I'm a year 7. I go to Glen Innes school and I really enjoy myself there because how much new knowledge I learnt and new activity's to play.
